Counting Blessings: A Heritage Theatre Thank You Dinner

Today's Blessing:  Selfless Service

Every year the Heritage Theatre hosts a "Thank You" dinner for all the play casts, staff members, tech crews, and board members who have helped at the theatre during the past year.  It's a nice evening with good food (usually chicken ordered from Maddox) and entertainment from each of the musical productions that were performed during the past year.

This guy played the part of the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz.
He was sooo awesome!  (Of course I didn't recognize him in his street clothes!!)

It's cool to think that all of the cast, staff, and board members for all of the Heritage plays perform without any type of monetary compensation - it's all voluntary service done for the benefit of the theatre and the enjoyment of serving others.  Total selfless service! :)
