Counting Blessings: Kicking It Off

Today's Blessing:  Some Fun at Work

Today was the Brigham City Library's kick-off event for our National Library Week Celebration next week.  We had comedy ventriloquist Wayne Francis come all the way from Denver Colorado and he was awesome!  He put on such a fun show! :)

Before the show, me and a couple of the other National Library Week committee members put on a short and silly skit to announce our upcoming Library Week celebration.  We dressed up like fisher-women and went fishing for readers!  Thanks to a couple of ladies at work, I had some awesome waders to wear and an authentic fishing vest.
After our skit, I announced our guest performer and he took away the show with fun characters all made by himself and his awesome ventriloquistic talents!  My favorite part of the show was the end when he had two volunteers from the audience come up and perform with him.  He was teaching the tricks of being a ventriloquist and demonstrated on them.  All they had to do was open their mouths each time he tapped their shoulder and a fun and silly voice emerged...unknown to them of course!!  It was totally fun!

I don't normally work on Saturdays, but today was a fun day at work!  You don't get work days like that everyday! ;)
