Counting Blessings: Date Night Surprise

Today's Blessing #2:  Getting to Meet One Very Generous and Kind Man

At the beginning of the week, Scott and I scheduled in a date night for ourselves...imagine that!  A date night!  And it was going to be a cheap date night too!  You see, I won a $25 movie pass at my work a couple of months ago, and Scott received a $15.00 gift card a few weeks ago for Ricardo's Restaurant that is here in Brigham City, plus I had a buy one, get one free ticket for the movie theater.  We were both pretty excited!  Little did we know what surprises awaited us!

First off, we went and saw Percy Jackson:  Sea of Monsters at the Capitol Theater in downtown Brigham City.  It was really good and totally made me want to head to the library to read the actual book!  The movie critics only gave it two stars, but what do they know, right?

Then we headed to Ricardo's Restaurant just a block away and we were totally surprised by what came next.  The minute we entered the door, the owner, Ricardo, saw us, greeted us and then escorted us to a reserved table at the front of the restaurant.  Then he personally served us our meal and talked with us every so often. You see, Scott has become pretty good friends with Richard ever since he started delivering mail to the businesses on Main Street, and Richard thinks Scott is the best mailman ever!  When we were all finished eating, we asked for our bill - Richard refused...he said the meal was on him because Scott does so much for him!  Oh my!  No way we said!  But he insisted and wouldn't budge an inch!  What a kind and generous man!  We totally need to patronize his business some more!  And definitely pay for our meal next time!
